Career

I decided to work abroad in the hope of losing my French accent, which I did not! But I met a lot of nice people instead, most of them are still very good friends of mine today. First I was hired as an English-French translator at Bruel & Kjær, a sound and vibration measurement company located near Copenhagen.
There I learned a lot about technical measurements as I sat in the Documentation Department with engineers who did the technical writing in English. I also went to evening classes to learn Danish.
Then I moved to Germany where I worked for the software company SAP as a German-French translator.
At the headquarters near Heidelberg, I was trained in the software applications and had direct access
to the developers, which made the translation job most interesting. As the Wall fell in Berlin, I was tempted
by the new capital and lived there for four years, in an exciting atmosphere where East- and West-Berlin
started a new common life.

Back in Paris, I worked as a project manager for a translation agency, until SAP asked me
to be in charge of translation at SAP France. I hired and trained a team of translators and project managers, most of them are still at SAP today. After some time in the Marketing Department of SAP France,
I decided to quit in order to take care of my children for a while.

OK Traductions

I started my freelance translation activities in September 2006. Today, my services include
translation in different language combinations, reviewing, rewriting, project management and coaching. Moreover, I can count on the network of professionals I built along the years to answer all types of requests. Please do not hesitate to contact me for details.
